Is TWC-passpoint a secure connection?

If we are providing a login/password to access it, can we assume it's a secure (not open) connection?

I ask because optimum WiFi is an open connection, even though login and password are required.

Thanks.

No wifi is secure at any sort of public location.

TWC Passpoint is our most secure "public" WiFi option. I put public in quotes because it requires a password to access and does not allow the same access to other's information as using a standard public hotspot.
