Slow login & forum's PM issues.

I noticed a few issues with this forum's private messages (PMs) and web site's login:

1. My forum's sent PMs don't have a way to follow up like replying to them (from mods).

2. Speaking of forum's PMs, I told the forum to send me plain text e-mails of new PMs as shown below from https://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-subscriptions:email-settings:

However, Community Mailer <no-reply-forums@charter.com> showed a couple issue:  They both showed up with HTML codes in both of my Linux/Fedora's mutt v1.11.3 and SeaMonkey v2.49.4's e-mail clients.  Also, there were no links on how to reply back from them. I couldn't even find them in my web site's forum account easily. I finally found them in https://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage. Sheesh.  Forum thread's new answer plain text e-mail notifications were fine though.

3. The current https://www.spectrum.net/login web page is always slow (takes about ten seconds) to fully show up in both of my Mozilla's SeaMonkey v2.49.4 and Internet Explorer v11 web browsers. Firefox v65.0.2 and Google Chrome v72 are slightly faster, but I still have to wait in my decade old, updated 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 & Debian oldstable/Jessie v8 PCs. Smiley Sad

Thank you for reading and hopefully fixing them soon. Smiley Happy

@Julia_R, @James_M@Satch

In support of Ant's #3, I also am seeing an excessive delay in getting to the login page .  My default browser is Firefox 65.0.2   I also see the same delay in Microsoft Internet Explorer when running Windows 7 and Edge when I use Windows 10.  I posted privately a few minutes ago that I found a typing or copy-paste error on the sign-out side and wonder if this is caused by a similar error.

I will third Ant's #3. My default browser has been Safari (latest updates along with latest macOS updates). I also use IE 11.0.101 at work running on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise.

Thanks for the follow up and extra info!  If any others are having problems it would be

great to get more feedback!

Re: Slow login & forum's PM issues.

If you've got a lot of time to kill, you can try to extract and follow the Javascript that's executing on the login web page, it's quite an unholy mess -- and I only followed a couple of redirects, there might be someone in the world who knows where it leads if you follow all of the branches, but I have better things to do with my time than try to fully analyze Spectrum's wad of spaghetti code.

This is a "waltzing bear" situation:  "The amazing thing about a waltzing bear is not how gracefully it waltzes, but that it waltzes at all".  Similarly, the amazing thing about the Spectrum login page is that you can ever manage to log in with it at all.
