Spectrum TV for Roku Troubleshooting

Note: After creating a new Spectrum.net username, you'll need to wait 24-72 hours before you can use it to sign in to any TV apps. The Spectrum TV app will not work internationally.

 

General Troubleshooting

Restart the Channel

  • Press the Home key on your Roku remote to exit the Spectrum channel.
  • Go back and select the Spectrum TV channel.

 

Remove and Re-Download the Spectrum TV App

  • Remove the Spectrum TV app from your Roku.
  • Find and download the app from the Roku channel store.

 

Reboot your Roku

Unplug your Roku device from the wall outlet, and wait at least 30 seconds before plugging it back into the outlet .

Common Errors

Incorrect Username or Password

Try this:

  1. Sign in using your complete username.
    Example: johndoe@charter.net
  2. Passwords are case sensitive. You can change the case and symbols by selecting (abc, ABC, #&%) from the three tabs above the virtual keyboard.
  3. Haven’t created a username or password? Check out sign-in help.

 

No Display

Try this:

  1. Make sure your TV is on the correct Input or Source (i.e. Video 1, Video 2, HDMI). Use your remote to press the Input, Source or TV/Video key to adjust the mode.
  2. Make sure that your Roku device and TV have power and are turned on.
  3. Make sure that your Roku player or TV is connected to your Internet (if you have wireless, try using a wired connection).
  4. Disconnect and reconnect your HDMI cable.
  5. Unplug your Roku device from the wall outlet, and wait at least 30 seconds before plugging it back into the outlet.

 

Low Picture Quality

Try this: Check your network connection on your Roku player:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Network.
  4. Choose from Wireless (WiFi) or Wired (Ethernet).
  5. Select Update Connection for status.
  6. Troubleshoot your WiFi network.
Note: After changing channels, it may take up to one minute for the picture to adjust to higher quality.

No Sound or Low Audio Quality

Try this:

  1. Check the volume level on your TV.
  2. Disconnect and reconnect your HDMI cable.

Channel Comes Up Slow

Try this: Reboot your modem:

  1. Unplug your modem and remove any batteries.
  2. Allow at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in and reinserting any batteries.
