Better in the one direction, worse in the other. If you're only concerned with the downstream, it's better. But you should be concerned with both, since the service needs both downstream and upstream to function. As long as your upstream power does not increase by another 3 or 4 points, you'll probably be OK and in that sense it may be "better" overall. Or you may find that it's no better now than it was before.
don't reset the modem, post the signal level page again, need to see if there's still 1 channel with high correction. That is not an attenuator issue, It's a bad connection allowing ingress from broadcast tv transmitters.
IPv6 is disabled in 6183's
My modem is a SB6141, which used to work perfectly fine for IPv6 …
This may or may not be relevent for you, but the claim in the thread "IPv6 lost after modem swap to SB6141" is that TWC has not yet finished testing whatever they need to change to fully support version 8.0 hardware of the SB6141. Apparently if you have version 7 or earlier IPv6 works. Version 8.0, not so much.

Yes, as of yesterday IPv6 is suddenly working again. The irony is after replacing all of my network equipment (modem being blamed) nad my wireless router, Time Warner suddenly fixed it on their own without a request.
The whole time, of course, they claimed nothing was wrong on their end. Oh well... At least it is fixed.
Ironically, my power levels are WAY up again... but I guess I am not going to worry about it because everything is working.
