need to replace modem (with phone jacks) and router--need advice

My router is dead. am leasing the twc-charter-spectrum ubee to use as modem. Since I have to replace the router, I'd also like to replace (stop leasing) the modem. I have phone service as well as internet and cable so the modem has have phone jacks. Are there relatively inexpensive modem with phone jacks and router combos? Should I do that or get a separate modem with phone and a router? Recommendations please. I do not speak tech so please make it simple. Thanks

You can use your own modem for internet service but you cannot use your own modem for phone service.  If you want to drop the modem fee for internet service you'll have 2 modems. Many people do this with no problems.

TWC does not charge for EMTA phone only modems.

You need to copy and paste the modems signal level page especially if you have cable tv service and splitters.  If the modem powers up, it might not be dead.

In many cases any more than a single 2 way splitter will result in degraded or no service.
