I'm a new Spectrum customer and am having issues getting my 1st gen Apple TV working. It's successfully connected to wifi with a strong signal but I cannot get Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc...to work at all. When running the network test it fails. Same for my smart TV. All of this worked flawlessly with my old ISP just a week ago. Support has not been helpful. When I log into the router and can see both devices connected. I have also tried both 2.4 and 5ghz frequencies to no avail.
My brand new Apple TV works just fine.
Any help is appreciated.
Netflix was never officially available on the first generation Apple TV and the Prime app wasn't even a thing in 2007. You may have been mirroring to the device from an iPhone or iPad. Since the box is eleven years old, unless you can remember how you got it working in the first place, it's probably time to replace that box.
