Spectrum Receiver Error Codes

Cisco/Scientific Atlanta Spectrum Receiver Error Codes

 

You may receive an error message or code while watching TV or ordering Video On Demand (VOD). The following troubleshooting steps will help you to resolve some of the most common errors associated with your Cisco/Scientific Atlanta Spectrum Receiver (cable box).

Reset Your Spectrum Receiver

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the device.
  2. Wait 15 seconds and then plug the power cord back in.
  3. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover and then turn it back on.

Memory Failure  Most Likely Error Code: ER01
Incomplete VOD Order   Most Likely Error Codes:

If you see this message on your TV:

  1. Press the Power button on the receiver to restart the device. If successful, you should return to the Explorer screen and see data being loaded.
  2. Check behind all TV and cable equipment (receiver, TV, VCR, DVD, stereo receivers, etc.) and the coax cable at the wall outlet for any loose or damaged connectors.
  3. Reset (power cycle) your receiver by unplugging the power cord from the back of the box. Wait 15 seconds and then plug the power cord back in. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover and turn it back on.

 

 

Arris, Motorola and Pace Spectrum Receiver Error Codes

ou may receive an error message or code while watching TV or ordering Video On Demand (VOD). The following troubleshooting steps will help you to resolve some of the most common errors associated with your Arris, Motorola and Pace Spectrum Receiver (cable box).

Reset Your Spectrum Receiver

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the device.
  2. Wait 15 seconds and then plug the power cord back in.
  3. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover and then turn it back on.

Nearing Failure  Most Likely Error Codes:

  • Error 1
  • Error 5
  • Error 7

 This error indicates that your receiver may need to be replaced.

 

Dead Battery/Memory Failure  Most Likely Error Code: E09

This error indicates a dead battery or memory has been initialized. Please contact us and provide the customer service representative with the specific error code.

Guide Update   Most Likely Error Code: DI

This error code generally indicate that the there is a Guide update and your receiver will need to reboot.

A reboot normally takes between 15 minutes and one hour to complete, but may take longer depending on the size of the update. Don't power down the receiver during this time, as it will restart the reboot process. This reboot may occur on every receiver in your home.

System Startup Failure Most Likely Error Code: E14

If this is the first time you're seeing this error, there should be no issues. If you're seeing this issue repeatedly, please contact us and provide the customer service representative with the specific error code.

No Picture/No Signal  Most Likely Error Codes:
  • dUI
  • DMI

The video interface has to sync with the TV before it displays. The code may briefly appear on the receiver when the TV is first powered on, but should then disappear.

If the code remains displayed on your receiver and your Spectrum Business TV services don't work:

  1. Check behind all TV and cable equipment (receiver, TV, VCR, DVD, stereo receivers, etc.) and the coax cable at the wall outlet for any loose or damaged connectors.
  2. Reset (power cycle) your receiver by unplugging the power cord from the back of the box. Wait 15 seconds and then plug the power cord back in. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover and then turn it back on.
Incomplete VOD Order Most Likely Error Codes:
HD On Demand Order Error  Most Likely Error Codes:
  • EC220
  • E220

This indicates an attempt to order a movie or program in HD on a TV/receiver that's not set up for HD. You can order the movie/program in Standard Definition on the appropriate channel.

If you're ordering a movie or program in HD on a TV/receiver that is set up for HD, reset (power cycle) your receiver by unplugging the power cord from the back of the box. Wait 15 seconds and then plug the power cord back in. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover and then turn it back on.
