Monitoring Voicemails

I recently started my TWC Spectrum home phone service. My coreless telephone/answering machine will audibly announce incoming Caller ID and also allow me to monitor incoming messages as they are being recorded to see if I want to pick up the call or not. If I activate Spectrum voicemial will these features no longer be available?

If you activate the Voicemail through TWC/Spectrum that would bypass your 

telephones answering machine you are correct. 


It would probably still make the announcement for the caller ID but you would

not be able to monitor the messages as they are left if you used our voicemail.
