Spectrum webmail interface worse than the Roadrunner webmail interface

Compared to the Roadrunner webmail interface, Spectrum webmail requires many extra steps. Example: to mark something as Spam requires accessing the dropdown menu, selecting Spam, authorizing your selection, then deleting it from the Spam folder, authorizing your selection, then deleting it from the Trash folder.

In the Roadrunner webmail interface you only needed to select it, push the "Mark as Spam" button and select it in the Trash folder and delete it.

Everything you want to do in the Spectrum webmail interface requires additional steps. Why did you make it more complex when most internet transactions today are trying to simplify their interfaces?

My recommendation is the following:

Switch to a free non-ISP (webmail) provider.  Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Outlook.com.  Get an Adblocker for each web browser, ( I recommend Ad Block Plus) to stop the ads.  More than one Ad Blocker will conflict.

Outlook.com and Gmail will also give you a modern Office suite and full up-to-date email technology.  Yahoo Mail is fine too but doesn't have an Office suite.

1.) Cable providers were never intended to be email providers, so their GUI's and security, as well as feature sets are often "As Is."

2.) If an ISP email goes out of business or chooses not to have email anymore, you would than loose all your email and contacts.  In contrast, web mail such as Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Outlook.com is free, and will stay with you for the rest of your life.  You will have a cloud-based communication system, and you will be able to get your messages from anywhere on any device with a web browser and Internet connection.

It's awful.  They've gone back to antiquated style design and functionality.  They really need to step up their game to at least a few years behind what everybody else is offering for email these days.

@relic211  I agree, navigation and usability needs work on the new web interface.

My recommendation is to stay away from web email providers like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo etc., while the web interfaces are better, you pay for it with your loss of privacy. The downside of ISP provided email is if you change ISPs.

I access Spectrum email on my cell phone using the stock Samsung email client and it works well. On my desktop/laptop, I have been using open source  Mozilla Thunderbird for many years, there are other good ones as well that respect your privacy.

I agree 100%!  I have been able to log in  under the old time warner log on page up until recently.  Spectrum has the worst interface I have ever used!  It is antiquated and slow to open.  When switching  between pages and menus you constantly get the rolling " I'm working on it" symbol! As  Your Customer, I deserve better than this!!
