How do I insert a picture or symbol into an email?

I used to be able to insert a picture or symbol into the text of an email just by choosing an Insert button that was on the email composition page.  I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 and the Insert option is no longer visible.  Can anyone tell me how to insert a photo now?  Thank you.

Re: How do I insert a picture or symbol into an email?

This is for my email account with Time Warner/Spectrum - it's my "real" email address provided by my local Time Warner service, and I'm actually not sure what email program it is.  As you can tell, I'm not too techno-savvy.  Smiley Happy  It's the same address I used to use on my other computer on Windows Vista ... with my new computer with Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge, there's no longer an Insert button.  Just to be clear, I'm not taking about an attachment, I'm talking about inserting a picture or gif or symbol directly into the body of the email.  Thanks.

How do you open your email? Do you open a browser like Chrome or Internet Explorer or

do you click on a desktop icon?
