when i get a chance im gona return the dta to the twc office and just watch the channels on the app on xbox so the tect visit was just a waste of time and il probly get charged for it they coulda just told me over the phone to just remove the dta and splitter an that would fix it
your levels are good and I doubt it's a modem issue. You can easily have one more 3.5 dB loss splitter in line for a box.
But not a 4 way
Your levels are indicatting a bad splitter I believe... It has too much loss. What's marked on it?
i found this for you this is the splitter they gave at the twc store to hook up the dta and i had 1 here to same spliiter a 2way mini
http://www.pctstore.com/v/vspfiles/photos/PCTNGN2M2S-2.jpg il try and get a better or diffrent splitter not a mini soon
also theres 2 line conectors cuz out side thes 1 at the box then the cable guy cut the cable again at the entry point an put another coupler so 2 line cuts and a spliter isnt that bad ?
im gona remove the line coupler thats outside and put the splitter there then just connect 1 line to the modem an the other to the tv
There must be a grounding block first, then the splitter which can be either inside or outside.
splices aren't bad provide connectors are good and a tad more than finger tight and not exposed to weather and full of water.
