connection keeps dropping - modem reboots

I'm a new spectrum customer (switched from Cox) after I moved.  Since getting into the house I have had all sorts of connection issues.   When cable was first laid, it went from the front yard to the back, around 3/4 of the house and into the main entry box.   It was causing signal degradation  -7db and worse.   They recommended new cable be run from the street box, under my driveway and a straight line to the outside box.

 

Was getting recurring drops after that.  Figured the contractors didn't set things up 100% correctly.  Someone from Spectrum came out, checked the hookups, made some adjustments and everything was good for a few days.

 

Now I get total signal loss at the modem at 11:30 every day and at fairly regular intervals from 4pm-7pm.   It's driving me insane.  Spectrum will have someone come out and take a look again, but I'd like to have more knowledge on what the problem may be so I can discuss with the tech.   Call support isn't very helpful.

Modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB6121.   I am hesitant to lay the blame on the modem because it worked flawlessly for several years.  I've only had problems since I moved and switched to Spectrum.

 

I just checked the signal info again 6:53pm and noticed the upstream signals were 49, 50, 51 and 49 respectively but nothign adverse happened  (at least yet).   Here's what the logs look like

This could be a badly corroded and arcing connection, is the grounding block new and a good ground connection to the electric svc?

It could also be a bad modem, Don't reset it, post the error log

Grounding must be on the underground line where it enters the house and connected to the electric/telco common ground point below the meter.

It should be shiny, not all oxidised and corroded.

 Did they run a new line?

One other thought - You said you were a subscriber to Cox cable previously.  Did you or a Spectrum tech actually do a complete factory reset on the modem (push a paper clip into the little pinhole marked RESET, or hold  the reset button for AT LEAST 30 SECONDS!) before connecting to Spectrum? And, if you have a separate router box, did you do the same there?  If not, give that a try.  That should clear out the old Cox boot code in the modem and wipe the DNS and DHCP addresses from the router.  Then Spectrum can squirt in THEIR own modem startup file and the router should find Spectrum's DNS and DHCP.

Repost the latest error log, need to see if there was a partial service that caused it to drop ch2 and replace that with 8 and skip 7... Looks like you have broadcast TV ingress due to corroded or loose connections somewhere, could be out on the street.

I really think this is a problem with the connection at the box on the street.  I've now tried a new router (I needed one anyway), as well as using both my own modem and one provided by Spectrum.  The problem persists and they are sending out a maintenance contractor (not their usual Spectrum techs) to look at the issue.
