Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

Hello, I've been experencing serveral disconnections during the day and night with my router and have called Time Warner Cable and have been assured its not on their end, but on mine. I've changed routers twice, from a Motorola Surfboard to a Netgear, and final I have a Zoom router and have been having trouble. Below is a table containg my error log. Thank you in advance!

Re: Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

Sorry, need the modem signal level pages and the log where you didn't do resets.

Re: Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

Sorry for late reply, I'm copying and pasting my log. I haven't done any intentional disconnects or soft resets. Any help would be appreciated since this has prevented me from enjoying my internet connection. Cheers!

Re: Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

The wireless (wl0) flip-flop from Channel 1 to 11 and back again (twice) suggests interference across the wireless band - your Zoom can't find a good wireless channel to use.  If the Zoom only operates in the 2.4GHz band, you might consider purchasing a router that operates at 5GHz (assuming that your wireless devices can also operate at 5GHz), put the Zoom into bridge mode and use the newly purchased router to provide your wireless.

It's possible that the wireless issues with the Zoom are also affecting the wired portion of the Zoom.  As a "quick test", you might want to try disabling the wireless section of the Zoom and running with just wired for a couple of days, see if that configuration is stable.  If so, either set the Zoom to only operate wireless at 5GHz (if it supports it), or get the 5GHz wireless router, or you may need to relocate the Zoom to another location to minimize the current interference.

Re: Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

APT building? Forget 2.4, turn it off and use 5.8 instead.

Also turn off the guest wifi and WPS, someone might be trying to hack your connection for free internet.

Re: Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

Thank you! I have  have switched the setting "802.11 n-mode" from "Auto to Off". Would this be a solution to this? I am so sorry for asking so much questions, will defenetiely try out using wired, thank you. Smiley Happy

P.S. Here are my settings, not sure if you would recommend changing anything to better performance. Cheers!

Re: Wired and Wireless Internet Disconnections!

yes, that's the sig lvl page, levels are ok but the uncorrectables are way higher than correctables, may have been a previous outage.  see if they increase in 24 hours.

You're on the edge of nowhere, the 6x1 channel bonding indicates you're a long way for any sort of speed up[grade.
