Before your modem can establish a working internet connection, both the DS [downstream) and US (upstream) LEDs must be lit solid, not flashing. No US light at all tells us that your modem has no upstream connection to the headend. Call it in as a total service outage, and don't let the phone or chat desk crew tell you that your modem is broken.
