Thanks MsRaye, yea I already wrote one, that's how I had logged it earlier. I was doing every 5 seconds, I just switched to every 1 second today since it started timing out again.

 

I was frustrated enough that I threw a -3.5 dB splitter back on, and it seems to have stabilized for the last few hours.

 

Everything here is at the street, how would I do this myself? I'm not going to buy an expensive antenna and signal analyzer because Time Warner sucks. Finally it looks like a TWC rep saw this thread, so I'll see if they'll send someone out.

where your levels are, don't need or want any extra splitters. The DS needs to be in a -5 to +10 dBmv range as the s/n is low like mine, thanks to the 30+ year old pole amps we have here.

TWC sent someone out. Looks like it might be fixed (so far, no timeouts since noon on Wednesday).

 

He had to replace EVERY single coax connector, all of which were installed brand new by the TWC contractor that installed our service 6 months ago.

 

He also had to replace the trap, saying it was completely damaged.

 

Why these problems took 6 months to manifest, I don't know. Below are my new signal levels (also pretty much stable since Wednesday), tech put a splitter out in my garage.

There isn't much if any of a signal difference from your first post, whatever was wrong, it was intermittent and hopefully repaired.\
