T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

NetGear R6400 wifi router and SB6141 Arris modem. I get signal drops, slow connection all the time. I usually find restarting the modem, or router brings it back up, but it rarely lasts long. Sometimes it doesn't help at all. It's getting unbareable. I'm on my second router and modem now and still the same issues and errors. I'm totally out of ideas now.

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

You are probably having 4G LTE interference from your phone, make sure all connections are tight.

Keep phone away from the modem and coax

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

Unlikely. Most of the time the internet drops my phone is in the bedroom the opposite end of the house.

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

Looks like a Verizon phone...

It will be worst if the phone isn't seeing 5 bars and or there is a twc connection in the bedroom.

This can also be outside line issues and mini cell sites on poles...

Repost the signal page, don't reset it, lets see what the corrected/uncorrecteds are up to.

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

Ok, they haven't increased much which is good, was probably startup errors which is normal if you're trying to pass data after resetting the modem for the first couple minutes.

Make sure all connections are a tad more than finger tight.

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

ACtually I just realized last night I plugged the PC striaght into the modem and I've not had any issues since... that last signal is when it's still connected. I've just plugged it back in through the router, so will see how that goes again and if (when) it goes down I'll report the signal

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

Signal levels won't change but speeds might not be stable... It could be a router issue or something on the router hogging bandwidth.

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

Like I said, I've now used two different routers and two different modems, and the same issue with each

Re: T3 Timeouts, slow connection, drops

Has anything decreased the frequency of the T3's?

Paste the error/event log again...
