As the title says, I cant access 192.168.0.1 (it times out) on the E31 2V1 Ubee modem I got from a tech visit a few weeks ago. I tried 192.168.1.1 just for fun, and it takes me to a Charter Spectrum login page. Any ideas?
According to this manual I found online:
Use 192.168.100.1
Nice idea, but no joy (connection reset). I didn't make it clear that 192.168.0.1 had been working on this modem until now.
If it was working previously then the only thing I could guess is that Spectrum might have pushed an update that changed things. Only a guess mind you. I am also not sure why going to 192.168.1.1 would bring up a Spectrum login page. By definition 192.168.1.1 is a local address and will not go out to the internet. Maybe Spectrum has reconfigured the modem to require a login?
Or maybe that IS the new modem login page and Spectrum has added some branding graphiocs. They have done other (less than intelligent) things like that and failed to explain them to their customers, service people, or phone support desk. Did you happen to try the old username and password on that page?
Tried the previous login (username admin, no password), no joy.

I have this modem and 192.168.0.1 with admin and no password worked for me 5 minutes ago.
Are you direct ethernet connected from the modem to the computer? I had to reboot the modem but once it cycled through I am able to access the UI and see connection status, signal levels, and logs.
Been sick for a couple of days, but back and fighting fit 😊 Here are some pictures of what I get with the various ip addresses:
The 192.168.0.1 gets there after “hanging” for a couple of minutes. All the above were from a few minutes ago after a modem reset, using iPad connected via wireless.
You must direct ethernet connect to the modem (not the router via wifi) at 192.168.0.1

Noted, but this arrangement has worked previously. I’ll dig out the old laptop and dust it off 😊
