Re: Maxx on Hold, We were lied to, again.

I tried to check that out last night. I followed the line down the side of the building, and it rund into a grey box mounted on the side of the building. It looks like there are 2 other lines coming out of that box. One that follows my connection and keeps running (probably to the main connection for the building) and the other runs across the parking lot to the utility pole. I wish I knew what the levels were I was getting before the service call 2 weeks ago when they had to pull the filter off the line for the TV service.

Ok, the grey box also has a grounding block and a ground wire in/on it, correct?

 Your levels stink

does your cable screw directly into the pole tapoff or is there splitters up there?

I think you need TWC back out

There is a small thin wire (looks like a grounding wire)
As far as a the pole, I can't really tell. It's not affecting my service as far as I can tell. I'm still pulling 60 Mbps consistently. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were splitters on the line. Not sure how much Time Warner replaced when they took over from Adelphia.
