Lag and latency issues playing Black Ops 3 on Xbox One

Approximately 3 weeks ago, we started having issues with lag and latency issues while playing Black Ops 3 on Xbox one.  We have the 50/5 speed.  The higher speeds are not available in our area yet.  The Xbox One is wired to the router.  All other devices, IPads, and such connect wirelessly and there seems to be no issues with them.  Also we can stream Netflix and such on the Roku and experience no issues.

I called TWC Friday night and they checked everything and said everything was fine.  They did send a reset to the modem and we played Friday night and the issues we were experiencing playing the game seemed to go away.  The game played pretty good.  

Well, last night was a different story.  The lag and latency issues are back.  The game is almost unplayable.  I DON'T want to have to call TWC every day to send a reset to the modem so we can play.

We have only 2 options for Internet, TWC or AT&T Uverse.  

Has anyone else experienced this issue and what is the fix?  We're pretty frustrated.    I'd hate to have to switch.

copy and paste the modems signal level and error log pages, don't reset it, need to see history.

Downstream is a tad hot.

 

That being said, what's your in game ping? You can access it once you're playing online. Mine hovers anywhere from 30ms to 70ms on BO3.

We just played a few games and the ping was between 50 and 75.  The game play was okay.  But not like we had Friday night after the reset.

 

you stated the downstream was hot.  Is there anything that can be done to fix that?

I believe new spec is -10 to 10db, with 0 being the butter zone. Maybe an attenuator or splitter before modem. But keep in mind that could throw upload signals off as well.

According to the TWC representative, there's no issue because the specification is -15 to +15.

Update:  tried to play this morning 545 am EST, and the game was pretty much unplayable.  Checked the speeds and the download was 58 but the upload was less then 2.  Reset the modem (used a paper clip to push in the button in the back).   Checked the speeds and the download was 58 but the upload increased to 5-6.   The game play is better.

Do we need to replace the modem?  Or will we have to reset the modem each time when the speed test shows the upload less than 2?

Here we go again.  The unload speeds are back down and the game is pretty much unplayable.  I'm TIRED of resetting the modem and calling in to report the issue just to be told there's nothing wrong with the TWC service or equipment.  I'll call again this afternoon.  If this call doesn't resolve the issue I'm moving on.  I can't pay for something and not play my game.
