Internet Consistently Dropping From 30Mbs to 0.5Mbs

I have a tech appointment scheduled for tomorrow, but I thought I would see if anyone on here can see some flaws in my modem logs and suggest questions I should ask the tech. Thanks in advance for the help!

This looks like 4G LTE and LMR ingress thru bad connections and maybe extra splitters, These 3 channels are pretty bad. It's a shame that modem doesn't show you correctables/ uncorrectables, I'll bet they're pretty bad   TWC needs to replace connectors from the modem to the pole as well as the grounding block for a start.

Re: Internet Consistently Dropping From 30Mbs to 0.5Mbs

Thank you for the quick response! The modem is a basic TP-Link DOCSIS 3.0 model. I read some of your earlier responses on other posts and was going to check the line, but the coax hooked up to my modem goes directly through the wall and outside to a junction box high on the side of the building and then to the pole. So sadly without a ladder I can't really check anything :-(.

If the connection on the modem is a tad more than finger tight, call twc out... somethings letting the 4G signals in

Does your neighborhood have the Verizon 4G thimble style antenna's on poles nearby?

I'll have to get a flashlight and check, do you have a link to what they look like? Also, thanks for the tip on the connections, i'll be sure to tighten them down now. Thanks again for the response.

Wait till morning.... Woman WinkThese are usually about a mile apart and look like the inverted trashcan to the right of the tornado siren in this picture a couple miles from Me. Verizon is on those 2 channels and has these in many areas.

That's a great install!  Hidden right behind that loudspeaker to keep those pesky signals comin' in from the left!  Smiley Very Happy

These 4G site antenna's are located 20-50' away from TWC cable lines and operate on the same frequencies, your 4G devices transmit 30 mHz off where these do, for Verizon, it's up 30 and for Tmobile/ AT&t its down 30

I'd sure not want to be up there working on it for the Saturday morning siren test....
