Infrequent MDD Recovery following MDD Loss...

Looks as if many folks are posting similar issues, although in our case, they're not constant, but they do seem to be getting more frequent  (weather???). I am getting the typical MDD Loss followed by DS partial...Lost MDD. Occurred twice today. This was followed by a rare T3 time-out yesterday (Aug 16). We currently have 100down/10up speeds and when these events occur it drops to below 2mb/s until hard reboot. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Disclosure - we are in an older neighborhood at the very limit of range from the box. In Garden Ridge, TX. Raining off and on since Sunday.

Re: Infrequent MDD Recovery following MDD Loss...

You have loose/bad connections allowing broadcast TV ingress.

Thanks for the reply - Still kind of rookie here...what exactly does that mean? How would we go about rectifying?

BTW - we do not have cable TV,  just internet if that makes a difference.

Re: Infrequent MDD Recovery following MDD Loss...

Modem should go direct to the outside grounding  block and all connections must be a tad tighter than finger tight, nothing oxidised or corroded.

If you don't find anything loose  or extra splitters, call TWC out.
