Help reading modem diagnostic page

I'm having connectivity issues with my internet. The signal goes off every 5-10 minutes. Can anyone help me read these logs?

Re: Help reading modem diagnostic page

You have signal issues, probably upstream. If you only have twc internet, get rid of the splitter and make sure all connectors are tight.

Welcome to the forums @alsolo11!  This is a community of lots of different people, MsRaye is a regular.  There are a few off-the-clock employees around like myself, but the forum moderators are the authority here (and have access to things others don't).  Hope you stick around after getting your problem solved. Smiley Happy

No, this is incorrect.  Those signal power levels are fine.

Those uncorrected error counts are a result of the modem trying to communication on the channels before being locked on (and it's frequently rebooting, and you know modems can behave like this MsRaye). The underlying issue that stands out to me is that the LDAP server (hence all the Unicast Maintenance requests being spammed) not having given instructions to the SB6141, which (without going into too much properitary detail) is likely a result of needing something needing to be updated in billing.  9-time-out-of-10 it's a simple solution.  I'd be recommending more to check to make sure the internet service codes and lease code is up-to-date for 2016 on this account (if it's not a customer-owned modem, it could be).

Spoiler

If they aren't current, correct/update & send an addressable and refresh hit.

If they are current, send an addressable and refresh hit.

There's a corporate article about this.

There is no node or CMTS associated with this modem at present,

I'd also always recommend doing core checks (like you were suggesting) to also include checking the AC-to-DC power cord that connect to the modem, and connect to the AC outlet (it's possible in some cases the modem reboot constantly because of a power supply issue, happens more than you might think, but not necessarily what's going on here).

tl;dr for the OP...

@alsolo11 ,  I'm sending you a PM with some more layman's steps you can troubleshoot with.  Hopefully that'll help you out, check your inbox please.  Sorry for getting more technical-speaking with MsRaye on your topic here, I don't mean to derail or disrespect your issue.

My postings on this site are my own, off-the-clock, and don’t necessarily represent TWC’s/Charter's strategies or opinions.

Re: Help reading modem diagnostic page

Thank you MsRaye and agentx5 for all your help. Yes it is a customer owned modem (SB6141). I will take your recommendations and see what happens. Thanks again!

Re: Help reading modem diagnostic page

Make sure all connections at all devices  are a tad more than finger tight, you are having upstream signal issues. If you don't find something, call twc
