Constant T3/T4 timeout issues

Over the past month and half I have started having constant T3/T4 issues that result in my modem rebooting at least once a day if not more. Below are my signal levels. Is there anything I can do to get the node looked at without having to have a tech come out for a service call just to tell me my cabling and signals are fine and that the issues is because I own my modem? I went through 6+ months at my previous house two years ago dealing with a similar issue that was the result of a bad amplifier.

In addition, see the attached chart documenting my speed over the past month. It's very apparant that every night there are major issues going on Capture.PNGwise.

need to see all 8 DS channels.. if there's skipped channels it may be an ingress issue.

 Do you have cable TV? looks like there's a splitter inline. 

something may be corroded or loose.

All connectors must be shiny and a tad more than finger tight.

I guess the formatting was off in the first post. There was a single splitter right before the modem that feed a commerical grade STB. I went ahead and bypassed that. I went outside this morning and checked the connection between the hardline and the house feed. Both were tight and non-corroded looking. The ground wire was corroded so I went ahead and restripped it and attached it. I am still skipping channels 12 and 17.

a 2 way splitter should change the signal by 3.5 dB, removing it added 7 dB, so something right there is wrong.. Is the cable to the STB any good?

Also, what're the new US levels? need to see which way they went.

As for getting channels reassigned back, you need to do a factory reset by disconnecting the coax, it will get the reset commands to come back up in the menu

It wasn't a 2-way splitter - it was an antronix directional coupler. The cable to the modem and the STB are 3' Toner premade RG8 patch cables.

It's wired backwards, the STB sb on the tap port and the modem on the out port... Bet it was a 6 or 7 dB one.

I don't know if that will solve your problem though. Directional couplers create some impedance bumps compared with normal splitters, shouldn't be used in many cases.

I'm going to keep it out of the line until I can verify if that was causing the issue or not. I am simply using the STB to get the local channels which I can feed from an antenna if needed. I am going to use a meter over the weekend to check for ingress and leakage, but as of right now the modem is the only device connected.

I should add the coupler has been inline for 2 years without any issues, even when I had a TWC STB attached to it.

Outside plant/ channellization has been changed from what it was 2 years ago....

 Probably a lot more qam/ less analog. Plus everything degrades.
