Re: Constant Disconnects and Unreliable internet is back again. (Escalate This Already)

Update. The Tech that showed up today asked me if I unplugged my modem since internet has been dead for me since yesterday around 3pm. He came in and seen the modem with no internet light. Could not blame the router this time. Different tech though. Anyhow he was probably here a hour re checking signal levels. He seen enough that he had a truck come down and check some of the poles on the street.  So far my internet has been working good though it has only been 1hr 20min. Upstream has been sitting at 42-44 I guess only time will tell.  Also the tech said he checked one of my neighbors modem signals and seen the same behavior.

looking good right now... keep us updated!  You may have finally gotten a decent tech to look at it.

Thanks for copy and pasting the signal levels instead of using screenshots.  The images don't show all the channels due to the scroll bars in the tables, but the copy/paste gets it all.

Way better, DS is 5+ dB better and no drop at 525 mHz indicating the internet only filter was the wrong one and now removed.

The US is a lot better, at least 10 dB and it too could have been a water logged connector or the filter. Could be anywhere down the street as well, sounds like the bucket truck guy found and fixed something. (didn't tell you what, however)

Shame that you've been dealing with this for months...

Had a few disconnects today. Tried restarting the Modem but it didnt do much at the time. Though it feels like it worked itself out.  Only had 1 dynamic range violation since they climbed the poles. Highest I seen upstream hit is 48. But the uncorrectable count is kinda out of control I believe.  2hr 30min uptime since I restarted it.

Been seeing  a few dynamic range violations and some t3 and t4 timeouts today. Few internet outages.

So this is why I am having issues again. Modem is a turd that barely ever loads the login page.  But I got lucky and caught this.

p1BXaSZCall TWC back out, printout that upstream page for them, they are totally losing upstream/ the reverse path back to the headend and throwing modems at it won't fix it.

It could be anywhere on the node. possibly severe 5-45 mHz ingress from a variety of licensed or unlicensed sources.....

Re: ------------oRe: Constant Disconnects and Unreliable internet is back again. (Escalate This Alre

According to the techs at Arris the downstream SNR level should be between  -30 to +33 (mine are between -15 to +15).

The upstream power level should be between 45 to 52, (closer to 45 would be far better) mine are reading near constant at 51.0 and that is with a brand new cable line just installed. Time Warner cable/Spectrum tech says 51 is great and he would "take that all day." He claims the signal at the line is at 43/44 and adding any one splitter adds 7, thus my 51.0. Do you think an independant line to computer would drop that 51.0 to perhaps 44.0 ? I think TWC tech should have installed 2 seperate lines; one for TV, the other for cable.  Any help on this subject would be appreciated. Thank you.
