Yeah - just printed out the latest after it came back up a couple hours ago. Looks pretty bad again.

 

Also worked out how to get the diagnostics on the DVR  which shows lots of nice red SNR numbers.

 

Tech is luckily coming in the early evening, when we have most problems - fingers crossed they get to see them first hand.

Print that page as well, those levels are bad, and it appears to be damaged or wet coax withway too much loss as frequency goes up..

We had a very thorough TWC technician here for 3 hours tonight. Replaced the drop from the pole, which installers apparently did incorrectly, checked signals and checked/re-made cables and connections absolutely everywhere. The signal didn't improve much at all, so they've called for a crew to fix the line, but set us up with an amplifier in the attic for now to try and get us a more reliable signal until that's done - seems to be working. Getting 217Mb down, 23.6Mb down.

 

Thanks again for the comments here. Pointing the customer service rep at the forum posts seemed to work to get a technician quickly - and a good one at that :-)

Paste the signal level page and the exact model number of the amplifier..Need a benchmark as it is now... working! Heart

Ignore the error counts - they are from when stuff was still being adjusted and aren't increasing now. It's not perfect but they are coming back at some point to fix the issue on the line up on the pole.

The amplifier is an Antronix vra500b. Was put it the attic and is now running multiple outlets, with the DVR / modem on different outlets in the house.

how far is your house from the pole?

there is still an awfull lot of "twist" and yeah, look like a bucket truck guy needs to check a couple pole amps.
