compared to the logs from the offending Arris TG1602 to the new UBA MTA so far no issues with the connection dropping out or reseting. Here is the link to the post on this website. http://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5/Connectivity/unreliable-internet-and-phone-service/m-p/140536#M...

Your signal levels look good and the tech should be able to confirm that when he is their. I would highly recomend you have him exchange out the modem for a non Arris model due to the faulty intel puma 6 chipset. If you look at the logs a posted earlier from my Ubee and the link I provided that showed the diagnostics from my prevoious modem the Arris TG1602 their is a night and day differance in the logs and the connection.

Yeah, I'm defenitly going to swap it out. Thanks ;Smiley Wink)

Here is a list of modem names and models that contain that faulty chipset make sure he does not give you these modems.

  • Arris SB6190
  • Arris TG1672G
  • Arris TM1602

The "illegal set operation fail" Appears to be provisioning/ firmware. Get a different model modem.. However T3 and T4 errors are line issues. Usually upstream loss/ excessive noise ingress, bad grounding, etc.

Need to see the signal level page after the modem has been up fro at least 6-8 hours without a reset to see the correcteds/ uncorrecteds on the downstream side.

I looked up "Ubee MTA", but I couldn't find anything. Is it called something else?

Ubee DVW32CB  I do not know if the tech will have this modem or not just make sure the modem he gives you is not on the list I posted above.
