Why can’t Spectrum provide the Decades Channel in our current situation besides offering Showtime & Epix?

Hi Mike,

The Decades Channel is a sub-station hosted by different stations around the country. Spectrum needs to make a deal with the host station at a reasonable rate in order to carry Decades.

In contrast, Showtime and Epix are nationally represented, so it is often easier to work with them on deals than the different broadcasters who own the host networks.

Not in all markets.  It's a mixed bag.

In a nutshell, the cable company needs to negotiate with the local affiliate that carries the station.  If there is already an agreement in place with the local affiliate, I am sure Spectrum has no interest in opening the can of worms to pay more to carry the additional feed.

If your system isn't carrying it, but it's available over-the-air, use an antenna.

The Decades Channel is carried by local stations in many markets, regardless of network affiliation. It is carried by the 12 Fox-owned stations in the 12 markets where Fox owns TV stations. In other areas it may not be carried at all or be carried by a station with a different network affiliation.
