Spectrum Guide Ratings

I am curious who determines the ratings of programs on the spectrum guide. Someone gave Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan 3 out of 4 stars. Clearly a mistake has been made - Wrath of Khan is most certainly a 4 star film. Thank you very much for your attention.

Hello,

The movie  ratings come from an average composite of several factors including:

Box office success of a film

Content and quality of a film

On line media review platforms

How much a film has been mainstreamed

The Guide ratings also use Metacrtic, which is a composite review of a movie from it's best critics, (or so claimed.)  More information about Metacritic here:

https://www.metacritic.com/

A film may be a good film, but if it doesn't get strong box office success and may not be seen by the best critics and might get something like 2.5 stars, when a viewer might give it three stars.  Determining factors of popularity of the fim and box office suvvess and Metacritic, show that it is always a composite of things.

Spectrum just plays the movies that they get, the ratings are sourced and based on the information above.

Everyone knows that Star Trek V is the only 4 star worthy film of the series. Man LOL
