The system normally takes a few days to normalize and update your account to reflect the new install properly.
With the Application as you see, it needs to recognize that the modem you are attached to is your dedicated home device, without that, some of the offering is unavailable.
Log into your Spectrum account, and check on your internet devices by going to the internet tab, and you should see the modem you have installed at your home, and confirm the MAC address is right. If you don't see a device listed, then it isn't updated yet and the system is still in need of updates.
This is all done automatically, so unless you change the modem again, it should update fairly soon after install, i haven't ever seen them take more than 2-3 days after installation, but it's not unheard of to not work same day.
You can always call the customer support number, but again, they can't force the device on however they can check balancing on your account and ensuring everything is properly set up for the servcies to work properly.
Problem solved--it was the time zone setting. It was set at GMT, and I'm in Central time. It must have reset to GMT as a default when I cleared the cache.
I'll bet it's the wrong time zone or the NTS in your router is turned off
Restarting the modem worked! THANKS!!
There is an network issue impacting the Spectrum app on multiple platforms. We are working to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, there is not an ETA. We appreciate your patience.

You are correct, currently the Samsung Dex will not work with the Spectrum App because screen mirroring is not supported. There is currently no information available regarding if this will change in the future.

I installed the Spectrum TV app on an Android box that I use with a 65" Mitsubishi HDTV. The Android box produces beautiful pictures with other content apps such as HD Home Run or Netflix, but with Spectrum TV the picture is horrible, almost as if it is only preparing a picture for a small device such as a phone or tablet. How can I get the app to produce a quality picture for a large TV? Thank you. -Marty
You hit the nail on the head...the app you're using is only officially supported on an android phone or tablet. The app is not supported on an Android streaming device. The only streaming box type device officially supported is a Roku.
Here is a link to Devices Compatible for the Spectrum App. Currently only Samsung Smart TV's (2012-2016) are compatible. If new devices are added in the future, the link will be updated.
