This issue has been resolved. There was something wrong with one of the EPG files which was causing it to be locked and not update with data. Removing the guide files and reapplying the configurations through WMC corrected the problem and guides are back.
OS is windows 8.1 / Card is in a HDHR prime
Not sure about your experiences with WMC in general - but I personally have not had any problems with the guides up until this point. Because of the timing and the change of the guide label online (TWC Dayton) to (Spectrum Dayton) - I was under the assumption that it was something that had changed on either Spectrum side or the third party that handles the guide listings. in either case I figured I would start at the closest relative possibility.
With live TV online most people dont require an older setup; or they can use a Roku if they want to have a more box-like expererience. But there is just no other way or software to do DVR on shows that do not have an on demand option online - and do not want the extra equipment in their home. WMC is the only platform that can do this thanks to the overzealous DRM placed on almost all content. And one cannot DVR a show - without a accurate guide to set up a scheduled record.
The guide will be taken care of by the Tivo service. You will no longer have that separate line item bill from Spectrum.
The Tivo monthly service fee or the lifetime fee (whichever you chose) covers the guide. I made the switch to Tivo 2 months ago and now wish I would have done it 20 years ago.
Now that I think about it did have a problem with the tuning adapter. Once I called in to the dedicated line (wait was only 5 minutes) they guided me to the appropriate screen to check 2 specific settings that weren't right. Within a minute it was corrected and all is good.
Just for reference, are you called this number for the Cablecard support team? 866-532-2598
Just a note to say "thank you." The reps answering that number really do know what they are doing. Calling them, they determined that my tuning adaptor was the root cause of my problems, not the tuner itself. A replacement arrived via FedEx and all is good once again.

When you order a CableCard, you have to request the tuning adapter and they will provide it for you. Otherwise, you'll just receive the CableCard alone. I'm in North Jersey and I literally just ended an online support chat with them and they're sending me the Cisco STA-1520. (The rental fee for the CC covers the tuning adapter - $2.50/mo.)
