If you do a search for your address and you fall within the fuzzy blue dot, your address will show on the left and tell you how close the hot spot is. The measurement is in feet. 

 

Address selected at random in LA you will see the address listed on the far left and also see that it says 69 feet to the Outdoor WiFi Hotspot.

The park down the street from me has an outdoor TWCWiFi and you can see the equipment on the poie.  /Dan

I don't think we have any here in Ohio, all are a seperate Ubee modem feeding a Ruckus AP located inside TWC biz class customers premises. They are not sharing the biz class modem. All are dual band 2.4/ 5.8 gHz

 Per FCC rules, 5.8 can't be used outdoors anyway, only the 11 congested 2.4 channels
