"Video unavailable on" on https://watch.spectrum.net/livetv

I have had SpectrumTV for several months and all is fine using their STB with DVR,  and the mobile app works fine on my phone. Today, for the first time, I tried to watch it on my PC at https://watch.spectrum.net/livetv. With "LiveTV" selected, I get this error msg: "Video Unavailable We're sorry, something didn't work quite right. Please try again later" After reading a few posts related to this message, I checked to see if I was logged in (yes). I checked my Chrome browser's plugins and noted that the Adobe Flash Player ver. is 21.0.0.213. Can anyone tell me what to check next? The posts I found that referred to this problem were several weeks old, so I don't know if this problem has been solved or not.

Are you able to view live TV on an alternate browser? Are you able to use the other options on your computer?

I called about this earlier in the week and the rep said it was a total outage and i wouldnt get a credit unless i called back when it was working again so they could calculate the total days. he might call me back, i dunno. we'll see. 

 

I'm getting something similar, but with an error code WPC-1005.

 

ive tried with chrome canary and firefox, and flash is enabled. on mac os

We do have a known issue we are working to resolve today. That problem I am not seeing preceded today.

Thnaks for the response.

I can only run older versions of Internet Explorer. and along with Chrome. I only have the two browsers.

What version of the browsers are you using? 

 

SpectrumTV.com is supported on 

  • Internet Explorer 10.0 and higher
  • Firefox 10 and higher
  • Safari 4 and higher
  • Chrome 10 and higher
  • Microsoft Edge

(Edit) supported browsers are not correct here. I am waiting for an updated website. Chrome is now confirmed to be 45 or higher.

In Help =>About Google Chrome, it says it's Version 49.0.2623.112 m

Interesting, Chrome 10 came out quite a few years ago (2011) I am looking into why 

our minimum requirements are saying such an old version (of all of those browsers) are supported.  I see the most current is 68.0, on my computer (at home) I have 64.xx and do not have any trouble. 

 

Are you able to update your browser and give it a try?

The major problem may be the fact that I'm still using Windows XP

I checked with the team who handles this and was informed that the website 

is to be updated. It does require Chrome 45 or higher.

I would tend to agree on this...

 

Do you have a different device you can test with?
