Spectrum iOS App Failure

With each new version of the Spectrum iOS App, the performance becomes worse and worse.

 

IGE-9000. Over. And over. And over. Again.

Good day!

 

We do not currently have any widespread issues with the application.

 

Will you tell us about what troubleshooting steps you have taken?

What generation is your device? What operating system version?

What is the current app version you are using? 

How much storage do you have available on the device? I have found if

my memory is nearing full I am not able to use the application with good

results.

When are you seeing the error message? When first opening the 

application, after logging in, trying to view live tv or On Demand?

What is the current app version you are using?

How much storage do you have available on the device?

When are you seeing the error message?

After selecting Watch On TV

 

When first opening the 

application?

Yes...IGE-9000 error message

 

After logging in?

No

 

Trying to view live tv?

Yes

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app?  Reinstalling the app usually resolves most issues.   Also, are you accessing the app on your home network or outside your home?

I did as suggested and the app is now working properly. If I get further error messages, then I will report back to this thread.

 

Also, are you accessing the app on your home network or outside your home?

Sorry to say the problems persist. App does not consistently launch upon initial button press...must be retried.

 

Also, Watch on TV only sporadically launches. Often must be retried.

 

The Problem Solved check mark should be removed from this thread.

The watch on TV option is intended to work as a remote control in essence.

 

Since this is when you are getting the error I would suggest a reboot of

your equipment. Please unplug the power to the modem, your router

(if you use one) and your cable box in question. Once they have been unplugged

please reboot your modem first. Let it completely reboot then plug in the

power to your router. Once that is done please plug back in the power to 

the cable box. 

 

 

What speeds are you getting? 

Through the MyTWC application do you see any issues present on the 

troubleshooting tab? Yellow or red indicators? 

 

Do you have the same issue using an alternate device?

Since this is when you are getting the error I would suggest a reboot of

your equipment.

 

Done as instructed. 

 

 

What speeds are you getting? 

 

239mbps on cable box 

231mbps download on my iPhone 6S via WiFi

122mbps download on my MacBook via Wifi

69mbps on TV via Wifi

No. No.

 

After re-boot, problem with Spectrum iOS application persists: IGE-9000 error upon channel selection,  requiring retry.

 

I have no such problem tuning the cable box (Watch on TV) using the Watch.Spectrum.net website on my two MacBooks.

 

The problem is isolated to the Spectrum iOS app.
