I'm getting the same error, RGE-1001; worked fine for the past two months, now an error. Does Spectrum not want us to stream?

The reps that sold me on Spectrum are either grossly mis-informed or they just flat out lied to get me to sign up.  I too was told that you could stream the Spectrum App on Roku outside of my "Spectrum Internet" connection. That is just flat out false. If you browse around the Spectrum site you see: 

 

"Can I watch programs on the Spectrum TV app outside my home?
Yes. With the Spectrum TV app, you have access to Live TV and On Demand programming away from home. However, some programs may appear grayed out, indicating they are unavailable to watch when you’re not connected to your home network."

 

But if you keep browsing the site it says:

 

"Can I use the Spectrum TV app on Roku while I’m away from home? 

The Spectrum TV app for Roku is intended for in-home use only with the internet modem associated with your Spectrum account.

 

Their own documentation is misleading. 

 

I dumped Spectrum for DirecTV partially because of the misleading information from their Sales Reps.  Now I'll end up dumping Spectrum to sign up for DirecTV NOW.  No wonder the cable companies have such a lousy reputation.

Good morning. My responses are not canned, I am sorry if you felt they were.  

It is accurate that our Roku app, our Samsung TV app and the Xbox App are 

available In Home only. Those are not considered Mobile Devices. 

 

Please also keep in mind the date of our posts and of others. A post from last

week or even yesterday may not pertain to the issue at hand today, tomorrow 

or down the road.

 

I am sorry that you were not provided with accurate information in regards

to the devices you were able to stream on and where.

 

If you should have any trouble with your services please feel free to contact 

us directly or post in the forums for assistance from your peers.

I signed up for this service and am receiving the same error message. Have deleted and added spectrum 3 times and reinstalled Roku. Nothing changed . However for some reason I can watch TV on my tablet but that's not how I want to watch TV!  Why are you letting people sign up for it if their is a know issue?

2. Your username

3. the Roku model you are using

4. What error message are you receiving and at what point, during or before sign in? When trying to access On Demand?

5. Steps you have taken thus far in troubleshooting the issue.

Well, at least you can watch on your tablet. We can't open the stupid Spectrum app on any device for the past 3 days, and since we don't have a box, we've got no TV service. Thanks, Spectrum. Time to cancel.

You are a streaming only customer? We would encourage you to contact support directly

for help with this. 

 

If you are not a streaming only customer, video equipment (at least one piece), is required

to have access to the service with the account.

What is error code RLP-1001

Used to be 1004. Now 1001

getting same error on one Rouku express.  All the rest in th ehouse are working.  Tried uninstalling app,  changing network,  tried all the usual tips, still won't work.
