Roku app: “Do you want to continue watching Spectrum”

I get this message randomly and frequently (every 5/10 minutes immediately after the app starts). When I click yes, the picture returns but the sound drops out and the tv (not roku) has to be turned off and back on. Any way to make this stop? Using a combination of a Visio HD TV and Roku 4K box.

Had a vizio at work with a screwy HDMI port... would frequently loose signal and had to reseat the cable to keep the slide show going. Might be something similar going on.
