Starting today, the Samsung app on my phone is not detecting the fact that I am connected to my in-home WiFi. I very clearly am, as I am using it to write this, as I am using it to re-download and reinstall the app on my phone.
I also am unable to connect to the app on my Samsung Smsrt TV, but since this is the Android forum, I am focused more on my phone at the moment.
I have tried using both my 2.4 and 5.0 signals on my router. Every other app on every other device in the home works fine. Why on earth did the app just decide not to recognize how I am on my home network right now??
See if there are "System" or "About" settings on your TV. Did Samsung recently push an update to your TV? That could be the culprit.
The first thing I'd try is unplugging the TV. Wait 30-60 seconds, plug it back in and see if it picks up the wifi signal. Sometimes that's all it takes.
