I use the Spectrum Samsung app on 4 tvs and have been getting a seemingly endless number of Spectrum ads popping up during regular programing. I'm already a paying customer for residential and business so why is Spectrum pushing all this unnecessary advertising through the app? This is getting frustrating enough for me to cancel service.
I find the Spectrum ads on the Spectrum app annoying, too. In addition, they are preceded by a black screen that presumably covers up the original ad playing on the channel so they can drop in their own ad. Following most of these ads, my Samsung Smart TV does not return to playing the original channel but simply displays a blue screen with an error message SLP-1002. To get back the channel, I have to click OK and then select the original channel in the menu. It seems suspiciously like an effort to make using the app on the TV so bothersome that we'll be forced to rent the Spectrum cable boxes.
