Picture Quality Degrading

I have been using Spectrum Choice for a couple of months and the service has been great. However the last couple of weeks the picture quality gets really bad for short periods of time and sometimes starts to buffer. This appears to be a Spectrum server issue from what I can tell.  I am using a Samsung TV app and the problem occurs on all channels I watch. Has anyone else experiencsed this problem?

Sup Charlie?

These issues are often a problem with your signal levels or drop line.  What you will need to do is call Spectrum for a Signal and Drop Line Test service call.  Do not reboot any equipment for at least six hours prior to this service call.  (i,e Cable Boxes, Modems, or Routers.)  Equipment reboots will reset the error codes back to zero and the tech needs to be able to read these codes.  You may have a problem with your main line, or it could be an issue further down your street related to your tap.  These issues are almost never box or equipment related.  Set up your signal and drop line test.

Report back and let us know what happens?

Re: Picture Quality Degrading

The problem ended up being my modem which was dying a slow death. After replacing the modem the problem was eliminated. Picture quality is now great.
