Re: Spectrum.net TWC log-in claims it will redirect me to the TWC website but doesn't

I have the same problem where I am trying to log into my charter account but it automatically (incorrectly) re-directs me to TWC via tridentity.timewarnercable.com .  Unlike what representatives have said previously, this is an issue with their website.  I used to have TWC but have since moved and setup a new account with charter.  With previous versions of Mozilla, I could stop this redirect and login successfully.  However, I'm no longer able to do this anymore.  It is frustrating as hell.   Stop trying to make your website "user-friendly" automatically redirecting patrons to where you think they should log in.  If I type in charter.net and login in that way, kill the code that redirects period.

Here is the incorrect redirect URL:

Here is the incorrect re-direct:

Re: Spectrum.net TWC log-in claims it will redirect me to the TWC website but doesn't

I had this same issue, and was able to solve it.

I believe the underlying problem is that your spectrum account is not the same as your twc account.  The integration between spectrum and twc does not properly account for this.  I suspect certain workflows with spectrum/twc do not properly link these accounts. (I was orginally in San Diego, but moved to the IE, where my provider became twc.)

This behavior occurred when I signed in with valid spectrum credentials, but behaved differently when signing in with a bogus password.  This proves the spectrum credentials were valid.  Further, I could sign into the spectrum mobile app with those same credentials.

When I signed into the mytwc mobile app, it informed me that I did not have a TWC account.  I followed the link to create a new account on twc (not spectrum).  This newly created account is able to sign in via the spectrum website, and I could access my account.

The URL is https://registration.timewarnercable.com

Good luck.

Re: Spectrum.net TWC log-in claims it will redirect me to the TWC website but doesn't

So that we are clear. You were a Legacy TWC customer, you are now a customer that is part of the Legacy Charter footprint?

Spectrum.net is the website you should be visiting to login to the account management

portal no matter whos legacy area you are part of. If you have a grandfathered Legacy plan or if you are now part of a Spectrum plan the website is the same.

Are you using "private browsing"? Do you get redirected after clearing the history and cookies? Do you have the same results when using other browsers?

Still having this issue.

Tried to chat with support (Haha) they exited the that with me after me waiting 20 minutes for a real person.

Different browsers, clear cache, cookies etc.  Reset my password, so I KNOW it's not that.  It's CLEARLY a website error on Spectrums part.

I've been trying to sign to add on a service, but this makes it impossible.  Have to go with Fios since the cable company won't let me access anything.  Way to go spetrum,  You're an internet company that lost bussiness because you can't get your website to work correctly.

Re: Spectrum.net TWC log-in claims it will redirect me to the TWC website but doesn't

I am also having this issue, and I was hoping to restart my service, but if I cannot access my old account it may not be possible.  I have tried logging in on several different browsers and always see the same results.

I looked at the network tab in the developer tools in Chrome to see if there was anything in there that may help, and the only thing that stood out to me was two requests that had the url parameter ?loginError=signin.inactive, which at least appears like a potential source of the issue.   My password and login are clearly correct, since if I enter a different password I get an error.

I have pasted an example of the loginError request below, I have modified some of the information in the cookies and requests as those may be linked to my account.

I was able to login with my account to create this profile, so if clearly does work in general.

"Restart my service" and "old account" suggests that the account is not active.  Only active accounts can be accessed through the billing portal.  If this is the case, then we encourage you to contact support directly for further assistance  at 1-800-892-4357.  You can also visit a local store for assistance.

Re: Spectrum.net TWC log-in claims it will redirect me to the TWC website but doesn't

I started seeing this problem before I cancelled my service, and I don't see why I would get a redirect loop. But in any case I will just give up on this account.

Re: Spectrum.net TWC log-in claims it will redirect me to the TWC website but doesn't

Same problem. If I can't pay my bill online I'll just have to turn in my equipment next week and pay in full. I've been trying over a month to pay it. It just redirects me back to the login page again.

Edit: Like someone said, I had to use my TWC login info to post this!
