Re: whats with spectrum and no 4k

Compatible tuners and bandwidth considerations are the most likely reasons that Spectrum is not currently offering 4k content.

Re: whats with spectrum and no 4k

one would figure that the fiber upgrades would have taken care of the bandwith constrictions and they could have put 4k tuners in the world boxes. though someone told me the six tuner boxes cost em a fortune to make but i can't figure out how since they buy these things in bulk for like pennies on the dollar

Re: whats with spectrum and no 4k

4K hi-res video channels require more than 4X the bandwidth, or the customers have to give up five existing HD channels to watch just one in HD.  Then you have to find HD content providers who won't charge any more $$ for 4K than they charge Spectrum today for HD.  Good Luck with that!
