WHEC channel 10 NBC Rochester image and audio breakup on both digital and analog

Since Spectrum came into our market (formerly TWC) there has been an issue with channel 10 NBC reception.  This is totally independant of if the signal is the analog feed 192Mhz (Ch. 10)  or the digital QAM 129Mhz (Ch. 10.1) decoded by either a TV or the supplied cable box.  It is the only channel with a problem-  whereas the didigtal 10.1 channel (129 Mhz) constantly breaks up with visual blocking and audio break up.  For the analog signal (192 Mhz Ch. 10) it constantly drops portions of the audio.  The fact that it is the only station feed to exhibit these issues and it is a problem on multiple frequencies clearly indicates that the problem is a source quality issue and not anything to do within the home.

FYI: Signal diagnostics on the digital channel (129Mhz) has a SNR of 37.6 dB and  an IF-AGC of 58, so again those are both very good numbers indicating good signal strength and very good signal to noise, so again that points to external issues as well.

You say the distorted audio problem is independent of the channel you watch, analog off-air on 192 MHz or digital 10.1 at 129 MHz on Spectrum cable.  Let's assume that your diagnosis is correct.  Then the source of the bad audio would be Channel 10, not Spectrum,  and you would need to contact the TV station directly.

If you really mean that both the cable system's analog and digital channel audios are distorted, but over-the-air broadcast sound is clean, THAT is a valid cable system issue, so:  Have you called your local Spectrum office to report this issue?

Have you called the tech help desk on the 800 number to open a service ticket?

Choice number 1 usually gets the fastest response, while #2 may get you a credit on your monthly bill.

All issues with ch. 10, both analog (192MhZ) and digital (129 Mhz) are over the Spectrum supplied cable system -  I do not know if the over the air of ch. 10 is bad, which it might very well be that their feed to Spectrum is bad, but that again would be a problem for Spectrum to solve with local station.

In any event I have had a hard time reaching someone at Spectrum that understands enough to route me to the proper resources, so if you have the best 800 number for me to  contact the right people that would be greatly appreciated.
