Tonight, i was watch USA network and had some heavy rain come in and it knocked out USA network. I check other channels and it seemed to be fine. I never seen cable do this. Anyone else knows or have had this happen and how did you fix it?
Yup, it's very common... some channels are still received via KuKaKb band satellite and rain fade is an issue on them... Other channels like the locals are on an internet connection, some are still C band sat which doesn't rain fade... Where are you ? Ohio? Bad storms moving thru here
And yes not as bad as DirecTv/ Dish or Hughes, but still happens
This could also be a coaxial issue. Make sure there's no open splitter ports, loose.corroded connectors or crushed lines.. They can suck out some channels or allow broadcast tv or noise ingress and trash the weaker cable bandwidth in certain places
