I have the exact same problem. WHY is this marked solved when it is NOT solved and it continues to happen? absoutely dire customer service

Mine was working perfectly fine until yesterday 8/2/2017. Probably due to my choice on the list of tv providers changing from TWC Spectrum to just Spectrum. HBO works fine and they're through the same provider. Just about all movies and shows appear locked, at least any appealing ones. Please fix this. Don't use the cable box much so these apps are basically what we are paying you for. Also if you could take down the part about there being a solution. Investing most of my day into a meandering journey with a CSR is not what I expected by a solution.

The thread that you have posted on is quite out of date and does not appear to 

be the same issue as previous posters had noted. 

 

I have tested from here the Starz App and am seeing the "Spectrum" choice 

for proider. This is linking us to the Charter Spectrum login. This also did not 

work for me from here with Charter credentials. This is not an issue a CSR will 

be able to fix for you. I have forwarded the issue to our specialists to be addressed.

 

Have you noticed this on any other channel Apps?

I don't have the option to choose spectrum twc as my provider from starz.com/activate to utilize the Starz app on my Android TV box

I am experiencing the same issue with STARZ tv anywhere app on Roku.
I go to activate.starz.com and put in the activation code that Roku sends me. Then I select Spectrum as my TV provider. I log in using my Spectrum credentials, but I get a message saying that my account is not authorized to use STARZ and I need to upgrade my account.
I do have STARZ with my Spectrum streaming TV package.
Other tv anywhere apps seem to be fine.

My streaming was working a couple weeks ago and now everything is coming up locked. I am also a Spectrum Time Warner subscriber. I should not have to pay for a service that is not working.

There is a known issue with the activation of the Starz application on devices.

If you are experiencing issues with login or with access to content still please 

do contact us directly, we will be able to look into this, this is not something 

that your peers will be able to assist you with. 

 

If you will please include

1. Your account number

2. Your username

3. Symptom you are having with Starz

4. Where are you having issues? Application on Android? Roku? iOs? Other device?

5. When did the issue begin? When were you last able to use the App?

As a new forum member I'm unsure if you meant for us (me) to use the link at the bottom of your post ("Forums_help") as the vehicle to "contact us directly."  i can do so, along with my trouble ticket #, I suppose.   I'll provide answers to 3,4, & 5 below as they're non identifiable info.  ACTUALLY: The Forums_help link is a non-secure link, so why would I provide sensitive info to it?  Please explain. Or did you mean for us to contact phone support and give that info? 

 

But I'm writing in this forum to address a couple concerns.

 

-- Your top level recent post addressing this issue is pinned and locked - so evidently no one can reply, but a reply is neccessary.   The current state of starz.com logins for me is that "Spectrum" and "Charter Spectrum" are listed, the former ONLY!  in the initial group of eleven, and then ONLY the latter in the full list of providers.  Searching for "Spect" only yields "Charter Spectrum."  IOW, you ommited the presence of "Spectrum" (generic/global) as a choice.  It's one of the first eleven choices and seems intended to be the preferred "global login" except it's not properly implemented for TWC users yet.   So, the only one that works is Charter Spectrum which has to be hunted for - and we should all ignore the generic "Spectrum" choice.  All this is just a bit of a clarification of your post (based on what I actually observe now.)

 

-In a previous day's post I indicated I could then log in but got a cleared out account.  Then for a while a couldn't log in at all, and now I can log in using "Charter Spectrum" but not "Spectrum."  Again, my account personalization has not been restored (resume tab list, and my list tab entries.)  Very annoying - should I give up hope that they will come back?

 

-In another post I made mention of a pathname  involving spectrum.net and ending in Charter_direct.  I can't reproduce this now. The current state of the redirect path is thru starz.com ending in Charter_direct.   Maybe jsut ignore the spectrum.net path stuff - maybe they've changed things...

 

-A few months ago, thru the billing dept, I switched my account from a TWC to a Spectrum account,  along with the benefits that ensued such as higher b/w.  I now find that when starting my login at spectrum.net I am eventually landed on timewarnercable.com for all account activities.  I think this is recent and different, and I wonder if it's relevant? Also, in the past, being logged into my spectrum account in one browser tab would result in me being automatically logged in to starz etc in another tab, if I recall acurately.  No longer - I have to log in on both tabs even when starz does work...

 

-Anyway as I said here's my parial list of answers, but I need to know how to submit the others (1&2) securely.

1-not secure

2-notsecure

3&4-symtoms as above on starz.com and treated as unknown user an Roku (have not tried to reassociate my device  yet as I'm hoping to get my account info back.)

5-First started on 8/2/17 or 8/3/17.  Also had more than a week of no access early this year with content being padlocked that shouldn't be (progressively so, infact- lost more movies as I used the Roku app.)  These incidents have been responded to by STARZ and Spectrum just pointing fingers.  STARZ insisted on telling me  that it was due to channels I didn't pay for - wrong. Only Movieplex and drive-in are expected to be disabled - all others should have always been OK.
