You can change your DNS all your want, but it's probably going to negatively impact your internet services unless you know how the changes are going to affect your service.
Also, your DNS has about as much to do with your internet service as your choice of gas to drive your car. So, sure, you can use the Google DNS, but if it doesn't work, we cant make that fact change, just set your DNS back to factory default.
So no, it doesn't really matter, just internet responsibly out there!
