Both of these settings are enabled in my Technicolor TC8717t:
Enable Stateful DHCPv6: Enabled
Enable Stateless DHCPv6: Enabled
I dont see an IPv6 address under WiFi in my iOS devices.
With those settings off, I see an IPv6 address under WiFi.
Should I have these settings enabled or disabled?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you have an all in one with phone, leave the IPv6 disabled.... the mode where your devices just show an IPv4 addy.... It should be statefull OR stateless, not both enabled...
Turning on IPv6 will slow everything down as well as interfere with phone serviices/.
On the technicolor modem, some of those settings appear backwards as well... Which one is it?
Here's more info:
I just tried each one and no matter which one I choose, they both show IPv6 addresses in my devices? Maybe the setting to disable unavailable to me?
Technicolor has been bridged. Everything turned off. Have my own WiFi router now.
Is it necessary to turn on IPv6 in my WiFi router? Will it function properly?
