Similar situation happened to me. When I asked if the prices would change after a year I was lied to and told "no". Multiple other employees repeated this lie. It's even in transcripts I have access to, and supervisors have admitted I was lied to previously. But they still won't keep me at the same price and product I had for the past year. That's just the tip of the iceberg on why I feel insulted by and disgusted with this company. Ugh, what a joke!

I basically agree with you, profit is not a dirty word.  All business need to have a profit or...

However, if I walk into a fast food place and tell them I don't want the whole meal, just the burger does it make any sense at all to pay the same price (or more) for it?  Because the burger itself isn't listed on the menu, they can make up whatever price they want. 

TWC can get away with this because of the bundles, they don't have to tell or list individual pricing. If my TWC bill listed the pricing for the individual services, then I could pick and choose what I wanted to pay for and I would be happy paying it. But then TWC couldn't make up prices on the spot. 

I now have 3 different prices for the service I want. I think their reps are trained to throw a number out there and if you take it so much the better for them.

Bundling services does frequently provide savings over the individual lines of service sold 

separately. That being said you are free to have those separated. Our specialists do their 

best to keep your price as low as possible. The bundled rates allow us to do that.

Not really.  What the bill shows is the name of the promotion and which individual services are included in the bundle price.  It does not itemize the reduced prices of each item making up the bundle.  And the retail price list only shows the prices of individual services, no bundle prices.

Sorry for any confusion. 

A bundle is sold as a combination of items. 

If you were to break up the bundle you will not receive the discounted price for the individual item. 

 

The retail rates page shows what the prices are when a services are not 

sold as a package.

 

Much like if you purchase a gift basket of lotions and bath products, 

you pay a certain price for the basket that contains those items.

If you gathered up all of those items and paid for them individually the overall cost would be different, in  most cases, significantly more. 

 

If any of our customers would like to discuss the exact breakdown of what makes

their bundle the price it is, we would be happy to go over that with them.

COMPLAINT - Bill Increase

I have a very bad experience is that I use TWC for about many years. My service is standard Internet, which increased from $44 to $55 per month last year because twc told me my promotion expired. And then same time this year, it increased to $69 per month and told me my promotion expired again! So now I am paying $69 per month just for standard serive? I saw on your website the service is $34 per month. How could the price keep increasing every year??!

My apologies for the poor experience, @Ever.  Our promotions do come in 12 month periods.  When those promotions expire, we apply the next available promotion for you at the time that expires.  While the rate does increase, it is still being discounted from the retail rate.  You may view the retail rates here.  If you would like to discuss your options to lower your monthly rate, you may reach us at 800-892-4357 to see what might be available to you.

As I remembered, last year I talked with your customer service representative, she told me I can upgrade my cable service to Turbo so I can pay $55 for Turbo internet not standard. I told her I'd like to keep the same even though I need to pay more. So there should be no promotion. I don' t even know where the second promotion came from and what's that for. And I still use standard Internet right now.

 

OK after take a look at your price form, if that's the original price it should be then I'll accept it. Thanks for help!

Time Warner has won worst customer satifaction award a couple of years in a row and we are talking out of MANY corporations outside of cable. If you research you will see why, today I called to have some things done before I leave them for good & the phone disconnected THREE times. Then when I went online to read complaints I saw this.

 

" Time Warner puts you through a convoluted phone labyrinth on which when you finally make it to the right representative, the call fails. It has been 4 times of phone failures, pretty sure they just hang up on you"

I dont see it as a coincidence I was on a promo and they raised my rate $20 for 30mbps I have been with them for THREE years in NY and 12 years in Florida A total of 15 years! They wont give me the service with my old "fair" rate so they can take a long walk on a short plank. I signed with Verizon for 50mbps for $10 less with much better speed. The rate will go up in a year but is still a MUCH better deal I suggest shopping around and leaving them They are a terrible company they are everything that is wrong with a corporation even donating to politcians so they can control the net and screw people over. I feel bad for thier employees who are taught to play games, lie & decieve and you can do a YouTube search & see vids of former employees speaking about their hell while wrking for the very corrupt Time Warner I will NEVER use their service ever again
