Pairing New HDA-RF2.2 Remote to DTA

I need help programming my remote to work with the DTA. My old remote started to fail (number buttons failed to respond) so I bought a replacement. However, I cannot get it to pair with the DTA. I read that this was an issue, but I cannot figure out what people did to get it to work. The directions in the instructions don't seem to work.

DTA = Cisco DTA 271HD

Remote = HDA-RF2.2

Any help would be appriciated.

Re: Pairing New HDA-RF2.2 Remote to DTA

you should of  gotten it from Spectrum....  You need to reset the DTA by unplugging it for 5 minutes then power it back up. or have Spectrum reset it.

Then, AIM THE REMOTE AT THE FRONT OF THE DTA...

Using your Adapter’s remote, press and hold the PROG buttonuntil the LED on the remote turns on, then press the INFObutton.

The LED on the remote will blink slowly to indicate that it is now in pairing mode.
Enter the 3-digit number that appears on your TV screen with the keys on your remote. If the numbers are entered correctly,then your TV will show Success!. If the numbers are not enteredcorrectly, your TV will show Sorry, the entry was incorrect. You can try again by entering the displayed code.
 If it doesn't work, exchange your bad remote at spectrum...
