Last firmware update 5/21/18

Well my STB updated it’s self this afternoon and now it keeps freezing up every 10 min or so for 30 seconds or so then continues until it happens again 10 min or so if that. Can’t believe I have to pay for this. Not the first time.

Hi Vinnie,

 

It's possible that an update did not take.  What is the make and model of this box?  Also, where are you located?  City, state, zip?

 

I would recommend powering off the box, unplugging it for five minutes, than plug it back in and allow it to reboot.  If it happens again, a service call may be needed.

Normally we do not do updates mid day. If the box rebooted it is likely from another situation. 

 

If this is an ongoing issue with the box it could be a problem with signal levels to the device.
