Arris STB Loses Sound

I  have 3 STB from TWC (now Spectrum). One of them that is on more than the others is continuing to have an almost daily problem. The sound breaks up for a while and then goes out all together. Changing channels doesn't correct the problem. Turning off the STB and back on does correct the problem. The other 2 STBs have not shown this behavior.

Hi,

 

Check that the cable connections and coax are tight.  Are you connected via HDMI or Component Cables?  Try a cold reboot of the box.  If the cable connections are tight and a reboot does not fix this issue, or the sound problem comes back, set up a service call.  You might have a box going bad.

If you move one of the boxes that do not exhibit this behavior do they also 

have the problem? 

 

Is the audio going direct to the TV or are you using a soundbar? Does the 

box connect to a splitter? If so does that appear to be in good shape? Do you 

know if there are any unused active cable outlets in the house?
