Viewing intelligent home cameras through another app

I’d like to be able to view my intelligent home cameras through another mobile app. Does anyone know the ip/host and port that I should use in order to make the connection?

Re: Viewing intelligent home cameras through another app

For away from home and if this has a local DVR:

Do a speedtest on the twc/spectrum site, it will show your public ip.

then add :8000 to it which is the most common port

also I've seen :3000, 3001, 3002 used on the 3G tablet/ phone mode.

If at home you'll use 192.168.0 (or1). xxx: 8000 where XXX is the dhcp assigned IP

If this is a cloud based recorder, you're out of luck and need to install a real DVR to access the cameras via a port on your public IP

I don't think the cameras have individual ports, you'll need to snoop thru the lan side ip addresses and ports.  If so it will be your public ip : port number for each camera
